, a gritty, ambitious third-person open-world rap-action game set in Dodge City (inspired by Dunn, NC). This game blends the fighting intensity of Def Jam & WWE , the musical creativity of a full DAW , and the social rise of a rap simulation , where your chains, bars, and enemies define your legacy. We’re now assembling a small, committed indie dev team to bring this vision to life using: UPBGE (Blender Game Engine) – Logic Bricks + Python Unreal Engine 5 – Blueprint +

Some chains you wear… some chains you earn. Duties Design, develop, and maintain software applications using various programming languages and frameworks. Collaborate with team members in an Agile environment to gather requirements and define project scope. Implement Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) principles to create scalable and efficient code. Work on 2D animation projects, ensuring smooth performance and visual quality. Utilize HLSL for shader programming in graphics applications. Develop applications using .NET framework for robust backend solutions. Contribute to the development of applications on Linux platforms. Manage version control using SVN to track changes and collaborate effectively with the team. Engage in continuous learning to stay updated with emerging technologies such as Node.js and Angular. indie dev team, you should meet one or more of the following based on your role:
For UPBGE Developers:
Experience with Blender Game Engine (UPBGE) Familiarity with Logic Bricks (sensors, controllers, actuators) Basic or intermediate understanding of Python scripting Able to prototype gameplay mechanics using Blender’s logic system For Unreal Engine 5
Developers:
Proficiency in Blueprint visual scripting Experience with Gameplay Ability Systems , Animation Blueprints , or UI Widgets (UMG) Able to build or help port core systems (combat, DAW interface, AI behavior, etc.) Knowledge of third-person character systems or input mapping in UE5 For 3D Artists /
Animators:
Proficient in Blender, Maya, or similar 3D tools Able to create game-ready models (optimized for UPBGE or UE5) Experience with rigging, skinning, animation , or modular asset creation Style range from gritty urban realism to stylized performance props (bling, stages, etc.)
For Gameplay & Combat Designers:
Experience designing combat systems, grappling, or ability-driven gameplay Familiarity with games like
Def Jam:
Fight for
NY , WWE
SmackDown , or open-world sandbox titles Can break down complex ideas (Chain Snatch, Opp System, AOE Impact) into mechanics and balance goals General Requirements for
All Roles:
Self-motivated and able to work remotely Comfortable using Discord or other tools for async collaboration Open to working in a rev-share / future paid model Passionate about music culture , rap games , combat systems , or innovative indie dev Compensation This is a non-paid indie project during development. All roles are voluntary until the game officially launches.
