As a FieldApplications Engineer at Arrow Electronics, you will be helping ourcustomers select and design-in interconnect, passive, andelectromechanical components, electronic components, and solutionsfrom our extensive line card. Arrow FAE’s are trusted advisors,providing technical expertise and guidance to ensure the success ofboth our customers and our suppliers.
What You’ll Be Doing:
Drive demand creation by maximizing Arrow content ondesigns. Develop an advanced understanding of the customer’s needs andleverage Arrow’s engineering and design services resources toidentify & facilitate solutions for customers. Apply technical expertise to influence designs utilizingsolution selling, resources, and strategies. Partner with the sales team across pre-and post-salesactivities. Provide technical support and consulting to promote demandcreation. Champion return on engineering investment, design winpriorities and initiatives by obtaining buy-in and support fromsales. Work with customers to develop a thorough understanding oftheir design requirements at both a system and componentlevel. Prepare and give sales presentations to customers. Manage top opportunities and opportunity funnel for assignedsuppliers. Attend supplier trainings in-person and via conferencecalls. Demonstrate an understanding of the strengths and weaknesses ofsupplier technologies and how those technologies relate to marketneeds. Provide training to sales teams on new products and help marketthese products to the appropriate customers. Manage supplier and customer expectations by building anddeveloping relationships, keeping stakeholders up to date onactivities, plans, and progress towards initiatives. Deepen and broaden connections with key decision makers withincustomers and suppliers. Attend and actively participate in strategic branch meetingsand quarterly business reviews. Develop and drive strategictechnical plans by supplier line or customer solution. Help plan and organize engineering customer events andseminars. #LI-EK1
What We’re Looking For:
At least 5 years of electronics hardware experience with abachelor’s degree in engineering; or an advanced degree with someexperience; or equivalent work experience. Familiarity with specifying electronic components, as well aspassive, electro-mechanical components. Sales/technical sales experience is a plus. Strong communication and interpersonal skills Must be able to quickly build strong relationships withcustomers and suppliers. Excellent communication and presentation skills. Able to meet with customers both on-site and virtually (willrequire some overnight travel) Ability to solve complex problems and take a new perspectiveusing existing solutions. An individual who can work independently with minimalguidance. Someone who will act as a resource for colleagues with lessexperience FPGA experience a plus
