About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Java Developer to join our Capital Markets Risk Technology (CMRT) team, specifically supporting the Comprehensive Capital Analysis and Review (CCAR) reporting platform. This role is part of a strategic initiative to modernize and scale our risk simulation and reporting infrastructure over a multi-year roadmap.
As a key contributor, you will work on enhancing and maintaining applications that support regulatory reporting, collaborating closely with business stakeholders and cross-functional engineering teams. You will be part of a collaborative, agile team that values ownership, quality, and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain Java-based applications supporting CCAR regulatory reporting.
Build and enhance web-based UIs using React or Angular frameworks.
Develop and optimize SQL queries and database interactions.
Participate in daily stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives, and design/code reviews.
Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver solutions aligned with regulatory guidelines.
Contribute to the modernization of the reporting platform, including phasing out legacy SSRS components.
Ensure code quality through unit testing and peer reviews; act as QA within the team.
Support quarterly and annual reporting cycles, including ad hoc internal CCAR tests.
Minimum Qualifications
5+ years of experience in Java development with strong object-oriented programming skills.
3+ years of experience with modern JavaScript frameworks (React or Angular).
2+ years of experience with SQL and relational databases (e.g., SQL Server).
Experience with Agile methodologies and tools (e.g., Jira).
Strong understanding of RESTful web services and full-stack development.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with regulatory or financial reporting systems (e.g., CCAR, RNiM, PERT).
Familiarity with Autosys or similar job scheduling tools.
Prior experience in capital markets or risk technology environments.
