Your Opportunity:
This role is ideal for a technically minded Project Developer with 3-5 years’ experience in utility-scale renewables. You’ll take ownership of projects across the MISO region, managing development through NTP with a focus on the technical side of development. This is a chance to join a collaborative, international team focused on delivering impactful clean energy solutions across the US.
Responsibilities:
Lead development of solar and BESS projects from greenfield through to NTP Coordinate site screening, feasibility studies, and interconnection analysis with a focus on MISO markets Manage permitting, environmental assessments, and stakeholder relationships Build and maintain accurate project schedules, budgets, and risk analyses Collaborate with internal technical, legal, and commercial teams to meet project milestones Monitor regulatory changes and market developments within MISO and adjacent regions
What You Bring:
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, environmental science, or related field, or equivalent work experience 3-5 years’ experience in utility-scale project development within MISO Demonstrated success managing renewable energy projects to NTP Strong project management and cross-functional coordination skills Working knowledge of permitting, interconnection, and regulatory processes Proficiency in project modelling tools (Excel, GIS, scheduling software) Excellent analytical, organisational, and presentation skills Willingness to travel up to 50% About Us Climate17 is a purpose-led, international Renewable Energy & Sustainability recruitment firm.
