24 months (with potential for conversion) About the Role We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Software Engineer IV to join our Trade Surveillance Data Engineering team. In this role, you will lead complex data engineering initiatives, contribute to enterprise-wide standards, and deliver scalable solutions that support critical compliance and surveillance functions. This is a contingent resource assignment with the potential for long-term impact and conversion for high performers. Key Responsibilities Lead the design and implementation of large-scale data engineering solutions within the Trade Surveillance domain. Develop and maintain robust ETL pipelines using tools such as SSIS, Python, and PySpark. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define best practices and engineering standards. Analyze and resolve complex technical challenges involving multiple systems and data sources. Design, code, test, and document software components with a focus on performance, scalability, and reliability. Utilize SQL Server, Power BI, Autosys JIL, and other tools to support data integration and reporting needs. Ensure compliance with internal policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements. Maintain detailed documentation and support testing efforts through structured test plans and quality assurance processes. Minimum Qualifications 5+ years of experience in Software Engineering or equivalent experience through a combination of work, consulting, military service, or education. Proficiency in Python, SQL, ETL tools (preferably SSIS), and data visualization platforms such as Power BI or Tableau. Experience with job scheduling tools (e.g., Autosys JIL) and data movement protocols (e.g., FTP, NDM). Strong understanding of software development lifecycle and Agile methodologies. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to evaluate complex, multi-faceted technical challenges. Preferred Qualifications Experience in the Trade Surveillance or Financial Services domain. Exposure to Generative AI tools and their application in data engineering workflows. Familiarity with structured and unstructured data formats (e.g., JSON, flat files, Oracle). Additional Information This role is part of a pilot program and is a backfill for a critical position. Candidates must be available to work onsite in Charlotte, NC, three days per week.
