The DevOps Manager is responsible for overseeing the entire development and operations process, managing the DevOps team, and ensuring the delivery of quality software. This role involves developing and implementing IT projects and infrastructures, designing and maintaining cloud-based applications, and ensuring continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) processes are efficient and effective. The DevOps Manager aims to create a seamless environment for faster and efficient workflows from development to deployment.
Responsibilities:
Team Leadership:
Lead and mentor a team of DevOps engineers, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
Project Management:
Oversee the planning, implementation, and management of DevOps projects, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with business goals.
CI/CD Pipelines:
Develop and maintain continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines to streamline code releases.
Automation:
Implement automation tools and frameworks for infrastructure provisioning, configuration management, and deployment.
Monitoring:
Monitor system performance and reliability, identifying and resolving issues proactively.
Security Compliance:
Ensure security and compliance with industry standards and best practices.
Incident Management:
Manage and resolve infrastructure-related incidents to minimize downtime and ensure service continuity.
Documentation:
Maintain comprehensive documentation of infrastructure configurations, policies, and procedures.
Vendor Management:
Collaborate with vendors to ensure service levels are met and issues are resolved promptly.
Innovation:
Stay updated with the latest DevOps technologies and trends to drive continuous improvement and innovation.
Qualifications:
Experience:
Minimum of 8 years of experience in DevOps, with a focus on team leadership and project management. Minimum of three years of experience managing people.
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, and experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitLab, or Azure DevOps.
Problem-Solving:
Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
Communication:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Certifications:
Relevant certifications such as
AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Microsoft Certified:
Azure DevOps Engineer Expert, or similar are a plus.
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or experience in a related field.
