What You’ll Do
At Epic Games, the Capturing Reality team is behind one of the fastest and most powerful photogrammetry solutions in the world. We’re looking for a passionate and experienced Research Engineer to help shape the future of 3D reconstruction from images. In this role, you’ll contribute to advancing our state-of-the-art photogrammetry pipeline by improving its reconstruction techniques and blending them with modern, AI-driven methods. In this role, you will
Collaborate with a world-class team of engineers and researchers to enhance and expand our photogrammetry technology
Drive innovation in our reconstruction pipeline, combining classical and generative approaches for ultra-realistic 3D results at scale
Conduct research and development on next-generation methods for 3D reconstruction
Stay at the forefront of the field by keeping up with the latest academic and industry advancements in photogrammetry and 3D vision
What we’re looking for
A passionate and skilled engineer with strong problem-solving abilities and the drive to work independently
Very solid experience in computer vision, photogrammetry, deep machine learning, computer graphics, and geometry processing
A strong mathematical foundation, particularly in optimization and modern machine learning techniques
Strong grounding in modern machine learning frameworks like PyTorch, Tensorflow etc
Proficiency in C++
An MSc or PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
5+ years of proven track record in industrial R D
