Senior Software Engineer III On behalf of our technology client, Procom is searching for a
Software Engineer:
III (Senior) for a contract role. This position is a remote position with no onsite requirement.
Job Description:
Our client’s customer identity and access management team is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join their innovative team. This role involves full-stack design, development, testing, and release of SSO and related applications, focusing on backend development. The project includes revamping services for our client’s next-generation cloud products and contributing to the Keycloak community.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with peers to design, develop, test, maintain, and operate Java applications across multi-region deployments
- Contribute to the development of core features of Red Hat Single Sign-On and related integrations
- Build custom plugins for Red Hat SSO and engage with the open-source community
- Implement and support identity and access management solutions with protocols like OIDC 2.

- Analyze and clarify business requirements
- Contribute to application release processes using Red Hat Ansible Automation, Puppet, and Red Hat OpenShift
- Contribute to observability instrumentation and monitoring tools
- Participate in application support rotation
Mandatory Skills:
- Proven expertise in coding with Java or other object-oriented languages
- Experience with integration design patterns in microservices or event-driven architecture
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a distributed team
- Understanding of core application security concepts
- Ability to quickly learn new domains and technologies
- Familiarity with OAuth2 and OpenID Connect standards
- Experience with Git, including branching and merging
Nice-to-Have Skills:
- Familiarity with Keycloak project or Red Hat SSO
- Experience with MySQL, PostgreSQL, and/or Mongo
- Understanding of CI/CD tools and processes
- Knowledge of DevOps principles and practices
- Knowledge of Kubernetes and/or Linux Containers
