Job Description Summary The eLearning developer creates interactive, engaging digital learning content that enhances the online educational experience. This role focuses on developing multimedia elements, interactive activities, and custom learning solutions that bring course content to life. Working closely with learning designers, the eLearning developer transforms course blueprints into dynamic digital experiences through technical expertise and creative design. This position is vital for creating innovative, accessible, and effective online learning environments that support student engagement and success. Job Description Job Description Develop and maintain high-quality, interactive, and engaging eLearning content using authoring tools such as Articulate Storyline 360 and Adobe Creative Cloud. Design and program complex branching scenarios, simulations, and interactive learning objects to enhance student engagement and comprehension. Utilize HTML5 and AI tools to develop custom web-based learning solutions and improve course functionality. Integrate and optimize multimedia elements, including video, audio, graphics, and animations, into course content. Apply universal design principles and accessibility standards (ADA, WCAG) to ensure all learning materials are inclusive and compliant. Edit and enhance images, graphics, vectors, and animations for integration into course content. Edit and produce high-quality videos for instructional purposes, including voice-over synchronization, captioning, and special effects. Work closely with learning designers to transform course content into interactive learning experiences. Collaborate and brainstorm creative approaches for presenting instructional content for student success. Manage multiple projects from concept to completion, ensuring deadlines and quality expectations are met. Review, test, and troubleshoot eLearning content before deployment. Update and maintain existing courses to align with institutional goals, new technologies, and instructional best practices.

Knowledge:

Bachelor’s degree (preferably in digital media, or related field) from a regionally accredited college or university. Demonstrated experience developing interactive eLearning content with authoring tools. Understanding of multimedia design principles and best practices for online learning. Knowledge of web development technologies, including HTML5. Understanding of ADA compliance and WCAG accessibility standards. Experience with Learning Management Systems (i.e., D2L) preferred. Proficiency with course development software (i.e., Articulate Storyline, Adobe Creative Cloud). Experience in using AI tools for content development preferred.

Proficiency in multimedia production and editing Strong technical and programming skills Creative problem-solving abilities Excellent attention to detail Basic HTML and CSS skills Previous work experience in eLearning development preferred
