Anticipated SalaryRange:

$129,620.00 – $180,000.00. The salary range for this role isintended as a good faith estimate based on the role’s location,expectations, and responsibilities. The idealcandidate will have strong working knowledge in Kubernetes andContainer Orchestration, Configuration Management, CI/CD,Automation, AWS, Linux systems administration, Scripting in Bashand Programming in Python, and a background in Big Data solutions.

The DevOps Engineer will be responsible for implementinginfrastructure, automating deployment processes, and ensuring themonitoring, reliability and scalability of our services. This rolecurrently supports a customer onsite rotating schedule (duringregular business hours) in Hanover, MD with some work out of ourColumbia, MD office. Flexibility is key for success. LI-DS1 Mid-Senior Level Essential Job ResponsibilitiesSupport development and deployment of cloud infrastructure in AWS,especially EKS. Support development and deployment of non-cloud(Edge) infrastructure of on-premise and portable equipment.

Automate deployment processes and ensure reliability andscalability of services. Manage and maintain Kubernetes containersand cloud infrastructure on AWS. Collaborate with development teamsto integrate their applications into the infrastructure. Monitorand troubleshoot production systems and resolve issues asnecessary. Continuously improve processes and tools to ensure highavailability and performance. Stay current with new technologiesand industry trends, continuously exploring new ways to improve ourinfrastructure. Other duties as assigned Minimum QualificationsSecurity Clearance – A current Top Secret U.S. Government SecurityClearance is required; U.S. Citizenship required. 9 years ofexperience in DevOps Engineering or Software Development andBachelors in related field; or 7 years relevant experience withMasters in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and13 years relevant experience. Strong Knowledge of AWS services(EKS, EC2, EBS, S3, Lambda) and their application to deployment andmanagement of infrastructure. Proficient knowledge of Linux,including system administration and troubleshooting. Proficient inconfiguration management tools such as Terraform and Ansible Strongworking knowledge of PostgreSQL databases, including administrationand troubleshooting Experience with application, container, and OSdeployment, scaling, and management. Ability to develop in multipleprogramming languages such as Python, Bash, or Go. Familiarity withGit, Flux, and other development and deployment tools. Excellentproblem-solving skills and the ability to identify and troubleshootcomplex issues. Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Understanding of AGILE software development methodologies and useof standard software development tool suites Must have a DoD 8140 /8570 compliant certification (e.g. Security certification) Must beable to support customer onsite rotating schedule (during regularbusiness hours) in Hanover or Columbia, MD. Will have some abilityto be working from home time to time. Flexibility is essential toaccommodate any changes in the schedule. Preferred RequirementsExperience with big data technologies like: Hadoop, Spark,PostgreSQL, ElasticSearch, Hive, Drill, Impala, Trino, Presto, etc.
