Electronic Combat Solutions (ECS) has technology, engineering and program teams that educate and mentor colleagues to deliver leading Electronic Warfare capabilities. BAE is looking for a full stack developer/front end/cloud developer. The successful candidate will focus on developing applications using modern programming languages such as Node.js, Google Go, or Python. They should have experience with both relational and non-relational databases, and demonstrate a strong understanding of microservices architecture, including the development and deployment of services in containerized environments using Kubernetes. This role requires a keen understanding of how to scale applications in a cloud-native environment, leveraging cloud services for optimal performance and efficiency. The role encompasses support through all phases of the software development lifecycle.
Because this role involves a combination of collaborative/in-person and independent work, it will take the form of a hybrid work format, with time split between working onsite and remotely.

Job Requirements:

Required Education, Experience, & Skills
The Full Stack Developer candidate must possess the following qualifications and experience:
Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Computer Science.
Ability to obtain US Secret Clearance
A minimum of 2 years’ experience in programming and software development across multiple layers of the software stack (UI, web services, microservices, databases).
Proven experience in leading or advanced programming and software development, including analysis, design, development, implementation, testing, maintenance, quality assurance, troubleshooting, and/or upgrading of software systems.
Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and support enterprise applications while ensuring 24/7 availability.
At least 6 years of experience in full-stack development, including proficiency in Node.js, Google Go, Python, or similar modern programming languages.
Strong expertise in working with both relational (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL) and non-relational databases (e.g., MongoDB, Cassandra).
Solid understanding of microservices architecture, including the development, deployment, and scaling of services in containerized environments using Kubernetes.
Demonstrated experience in developing, deploying, and scaling applications in cloud environments.
Familiarity with Test-Driven Development (TDD) methodologies and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) practices.
Experience in ensuring high availability and reliability of enterprise applications.
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
Proficiency in using project management, documentation, and source control tools.
Familiarity with cloud-native technologies and services beyond Kubernetes, such as service meshes (e.g., Istio, Linkerd), serverless frameworks, and cloud-specific resource management.
Expertise in implementing security best practices in application development and deployment, particularly in environments with stringent compliance requirements.
Knowledge in utilizing observability tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack) for monitoring and troubleshooting applications.
Experience with agile development methodologies and the ability to work in fast-paced, iterative development environments.
Previous experience working within cross-functional development teams, demonstrating excellent collaboration and communication skills.
Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range:

$61820 – $105050

However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
