Overview:
SimVentions, consistently voted one Virginia’s BestPlaces to Work, is looking for an experienced professional to joinour team! As a Red Team Offensive Tool Developer, you will beresponsible for the design, development, and deployment ofoffensive cybersecurity tools to support Red Team and penetrationtesting engagements. You will work collaboratively with Blue Teamand Cybersecurity professionals to enhance overall cyber posture.
Position is contingent upon award of contract, anticipated inDecember of 2025.
Clearance:
An ACTIVE Top Secret/SCI eligibleclearance (IT Level I Tier 5 / Special-Sensitive Position) isrequired for this position. Applicants selected will be subject toa security investigation and may need to meet eligibilityrequirements for access to classified information. US Citizenshipis required to obtain a clearance.
Requirements:
In-depthunderstanding of computer security, military system specifications,and DoD cybersecurity policies Strong ability to communicateclearly and succinctly in written and oral presentations Mustpossess one or more of the following DoD 8570.01-M CSSPInfrastructure Support certifications: CEH CySA
GICSP SSCP CHFI
CFRCloud CND Must possess Offensive Security Certified Professional(OSCP) certification Must possess one or more of the followingcertifications: GIAC Exploit Researcher and Advanced PenetrationTester (GXPN) Offensive Security Exploit Developer (OSED)
Responsibilities:
Develop, modify, and utilize offensive securitytools such as Metasploit, NMAP, Kali Linux, and Cobalt Strike Mimicthreat actor behavior using TTPs aligned with frameworks like
MITREATT&CK
Conduct assessments across multiple operating systemsincluding Linux, Windows, and macOS Perform exploit development andidentify zero-day or previously unknown vulnerabilities Analyze,identify, and remediate gaps in offensive tools and developmenttechniques Perform development with at least two scripting orprogramming languages (Python, C++, Java, Rust, Assembly, C#, etc.)in support of exploit development
Preferred Skills and Experience:
Five (5) years of full-time professional experience supporting RedTeam/Penetration test engagements with exploit and tool developmentFive (5) years of demonstrated experience developing with at least3 scripting or programming languages (Python, C++, Java, Assembly,C#, Rust, etc.) Five (5) years of demonstrated experienceidentifying gaps in tools and development techniques
Education:
•Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or Computer Engineering•National Security Agency Computer Network Operations DevelopmentProgram (CNODP) Graduate (desired)
Compensation:
Compensation atSimVentions is determined by a number of factors, including, butnot limited to, the candidate’s experience, education, training,security clearance, work location, skills, knowledge, andcompetencies, as well as alignment with our corporate compensationplan and contract specific requirements. The projected annualcompensation range for this position is $80,000-$140,000 (USD).This estimate reflects the standard salary range for this positionand is just one component of the total compensation package thatSimVentions offers.
