Contract-to-Hire About the Role We are looking for a highly skilled Lead Software Engineer to join our Payments Engineering team. This role is ideal for someone with deep Java expertise and a passion for building scalable, resilient systems. You will lead a scrum team of 3-4 developers, drive technical design, and ensure high-quality delivery in a fast-paced agile environment. Minimum Qualifications 10+ years of hands-on software development experience Strong proficiency in Core Java (Java 11 & 17) and Spring Boot Solid understanding of Object-Oriented Programming and software engineering principles Experience leading agile teams and mentoring developers Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills Preferred Qualifications Experience with Cassandra or CockroachDB Exposure to Apache Kafka , Apache Spark , or Apache Storm Familiarity with Reactive Programming (e.g., Spring WebFlux) Experience in Payments or Banking domain Knowledge of containerization and orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes) Familiarity with CI/CD tools and SDLC practices (JIRA, Jenkins, Git, JUnit, Selenium) Responsibilities Lead a scrum team of 3-4 developers Drive end-to-end software development lifecycle: design, development, testing, and deployment Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to best practices Collaborate with product managers and architects to translate requirements into technical solutions Plan and manage delivery timelines and sprint goals Interview Process 2 Rounds including a coding exercise Focus on Java proficiency and problem-solving ability By providing your phone number, you consent to: (1) receive automated text messages and calls from the Judge Group, Inc. and its affiliates (collectively “Judge”) to such phone number regarding job opportunities, your job application, and for other related purposes.
