Job Description:
We are seeking a Senior Mainframe Developer with extensive experience in COBOL, CICS, and DB2 for a hybrid position based in Trenton, NJ. This is a hands-on technical role working on complex mainframe systems, conversions, and application modernization.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, develop, test, and maintain
COBOL/CICS/DB2
applications.
Perform analysis and documentation of business logic and rules.
Collaborate with users for system usability testing and acceptance.
Support migration and conversion efforts from IDMS to
DB2/CICS.
Write and maintain stored procedures and JCL scripts.
Required Skills:
15+ years experience in
COBOL, CICS, DB2
Proficient in
IBM OS/JCL
(MVS) and DB2 Stored Procedures
Hands-on experience in IDMS to DB2 and IDMS/DC to CICS conversions
Strong understanding of APPC/LU 6.2 or MQ programming
Experience in business rule documentation and testing
Preferred Skills:
Experience with mainframe modernization projects
Strong communication and documentation capabilities
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field
Additional Details:
