Team:

The New Servicesteam is part of the Clinical Informatics Services team, this is adiverse team, with developers and testers in the US, India, and UK.Our mission as part of the New Services team is to createinnovative solutions that enhance Medidata Products.

Reports to:

Director, Clinical Informatics Services Responsibilities:

Undergeneral guidance and supervision of senior software engineeringpersonnel, analyzes, designs, programs, unit tests, and debugssolutions to customize software to meet specific business needs.

Under general guidance, analyzes business requirements, and usesprofessional concepts and Medidatas pre-existing software toresolve complex issues in creative and effective ways. Performscode reviews from code written by other team members. Coordinationof development activities with the off-site team. Management ofassigned tasks and follow up on the tasks that requireclarifications with relevant teams. Provides status updates ofon-going tasks to internal clients. Provides daily updates of yourtasks/projects, and proactively escalate issues to your Lead.

Ensures tasks are completed on-time with high quality standards.

Records and tracks defects uncovered during the execution of testsand actively participate in resolution. Effectively managesmultiple projects and tasks, focusing on timely implementationswhile adapting as priorities shift. Mentors and provide supervisionand leadership to lower level developers. Understands and keepabreast of latest Medidata Products, their functionality, andfeatures. Networks with key contacts within the delivery unit andoutside their own area of expertise. Ensures that all relevantMedidata SOPs and WIs are followed.

Qualifications:

Bachelorsdegree and a minimum of 2 years of related experience, which can bein the form of internships, externships, baccalaureate projects; oran advanced degree without experience; or equivalent workexperience. Strong in React web development. Strong in Pythonprogramming language. Strong in relational databases such as MSSQL, PostgreSQL, or MySQL. Experience with AWS. Familiarity withGraphQL. Familiarity with PowerShell. Familiarity with softwaredevelopment processes. Preferred experience utilizing REST APIs.

Preferred experience with Clinical Trial software technology.

Preferred experience with Medidata product suite (Rave EDC,Platform, RTSM, Coder, CTMS, …) As with all roles, Medidata setsranges based on a number of factors including function, level,candidate expertise and experience, and geographic location. Thesalary range for positions that will be physically based in the NYCMetro Area is $79,500-106,000. Base pay is one part of the TotalRewards that Medidata provides to compensate and recognizeemployees for their work. Most sales positions are eligible for acommission on the terms of applicable plan documents, and many ofMedidatas non-sales positions are eligible for annual bonuses.
