About this role:

The Technology for the Chief Operating Office (TCOO) organization, provides technology services for the Chief Operating Office. This includes operations, control executives, strategic execution, business continuity and resiliency, data solutions and services, regulatory relations, customer experience, enterprise shared services, supply chain management, and the corporate properties group. TCOO provides technology solutions and manages application portfolios for these groups to support modernization and optimization.

Within TCOO we are seeking a Lead Software Engineer who enjoys and thrives on solving complex problems through innovation impacting change at scale in a diverse environment. You will join a focused team of engineers introducing and advancing Artificial Intelligence solutions across Chief Administrative Office (CAO) platforms which include document processing, prompt engineering, etc spanning multiple lines of business supporting the entire firm. The team will drive technology transformation and adoption of AI, Cloud and on-premise solutions integrating with enterprise platforms.

In this role, you will:

Lead complex technology initiatives including those that are companywide with broad impactAct as a key participant in developing standards and companywide best practices for engineering complex and large-scale technology solutions for technology engineering disciplinesDesign, code, test, debug, and document for projects and programsReview and analyze complex, large-scale technology solutions for tactical and strategic business objectives, enterprise technological environment, and technical challenges that require in-depth evaluation of multiple factors, including intangibles or unprecedented technical factorsMake decisions in developing standard and companywide best practices for engineering and technology solutions requiring understanding of industry best practices and new technologies, influencing and leading technology team to meet deliverables and drive new initiativesCollaborate and consult with key technical experts, senior technology team, and external industry groups to resolve complex technical issues and achieve goalsExecute the strategy and resolution of highly complex and unique challenges requiring in-depth evaluation across multiple areas or the enterprise, delivering solutions that are long-term, large-scale and require vision, creativity, innovation, advanced analytical and inductive thinkingLead projects, teams, or serve as a peer mentorMaintain knowledge of industry best practices and new technologies and recommend innovations that enhance operations or provide a competitive advantage to the organizationStrategically engage with all levels of professionals across the enterprise and serve as an expertArchitect and deploy solutions on-premise and on Google Cloud (GCP), ensuring scalability, reliability, and performance

Required Qualifications:

5+ years of Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education5+ years of experience in Relational Databases (SQL Server, Oracle, DB2 or others) 5+ years of experience working with analyzing and interpreting large datasets5+ years of experience with performance tuning & performance optimization5+ years of data modeling experience5+ years of data security and design experience5+ years of experience in gathering user requirements, designing and building distributed computing solutions using Test Driven Development (TDD)5+ years of working with DevOps tools (Git, Automation Deployment toolkits) 5+ years working in an Agile development environment

Desired Qualifications:

5+ years of financial industry experienceExperience with modeling tools like Erwin, PowerDesigner etc.

Experience with Python, Spark, Kafka, Apache Flink​, Apache Storm, Kubernetes, DockerExperience working with Data MicroservicesExperience with NoSQL and Graph databasesExperience with configuration and monitoring technologies such as Ansible, Grafana, ElasticAPM, Splunk, Prometheus or AppDynamicsKnowledge of Kubernetes platformsGoogle / Azure / Amazon Cloud certificationsExcellent problem-solving and analytical skillsStrong communication and collaboration abilitiesAbility to work independently and as part of a team

Job Expectations:

Ability to work onsite 3 days/week at one of posted locationsPay Range Reflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to achievements, skills, experience, or work location.
