Job Description
Revenue Cycle Applications Architect 3.7 3.7 out of 5 stars 100 MADISON AVE, Morristown, NJ 07960 Responsible for the following: designs innovative, integrated, scalable and balanced system solutions aligned with Business and IT strategies. With critical thinking and the knowledge in healthcare Revenue Cycle, the RCAA provides insight, trusted advice and technical leadership needed to make optimal use of technology and information assets and help deliver architectural solutions for Epic and other revenue cycle application systems.
Principal Accountabilities:
1. Architecting and delivering solution innovation to improve services or to lower costs, operating under deadlines and challenging workloads 2. Designing, supporting and deploying mechanisms to create, enhance, refine, and deliver optimal solutions 3. Solving highly complex problems and developing solutions for tasks or projects, which may be unique 4. In-depth analysis of workflows, system details and technical issues associated with the Epic applications in the respective areas of Revenue Cycle such as patient access, grand central, HIM, billing and charging etc. 5. Leading analysis of workflows, system details and technical issues 6. Scoping multiple major and minor enhancements in accordance with ISS standards and best practices 7. Analyzing new functionality and recommend how it should be used to prioritize and implement requested changes to the system 8. Troubleshooting problems and questions from end users and providing support of daily and ad-hoc requests 9. Interfacing with key IT, clinical, business and operations staff to assist in the development of efficient workflows 10. Participating in testing system enhancements and performs rigorous testing to deliver high-quality end-user solutions 11. Serving as the primary point of contact for technical issues within the Revenue Cycle applications 12. Managing vendor relationships and escalating vendor issues 13. Other relevant tasks as assigned.
Required:
1. Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Public Health, Mathematics, Healthcare Informatics or Computer Science or equivalent experience 2. Epic Hospital Billing Administration certification required 3. Minimum 3 years work experience within information technology or a hospital billing office 4.
