COMPUTER ENGINEER
Lakehurst, NJ Position Description You will serve as a
COMPUTER ENGINEER
in the ALRE Department, Launch, Recovery & EAF Division, Mark 7 Arresting Gear Branch of
NAVAIRWARCENADLKE.
Position Duties/Responsibilities
You will serve as the Technical Expert for all matters related to computer engineering concerning the design, development, analysis, and in-service of the Advanced Recovery Control (ARC) system for Mk 7 Arresting Gear.
You will have professional background, knowledge and experience in computer engineering combined with understanding life-cycle analysis and a thorough understanding of the operational characteristics and features of MK 7 Arresting Gear.
You will provide technical direction to the fleet/users on how to resolve Mk 7 Arresting Gear problems and conduct engineering investigations; determining root cause solutions.
You will provide subject matter expertise to commercial contractors, evaluate design concepts, evaluate software configuration management (CM) processes and recommend efforts which have the potential to improve the MK 7 Arresting Gear.
