Application Engineer Position Available In Union, New Jersey

Hosokawa Micron Powder Systems provides size reduction systems and powder processing solutions for chemical, pharmaceutical, food, mineral, plastics, and cosmetic applications. Throughout our history, we have led the industry in coarse to ultra-fine grinding, classification, mixing, drying, containment, compaction, and analytical equipment.

The Application Engineer will promote and sell containment equipment in the fields of Pharmaceutical, Bio Pharmaceutical, Cell and Gene Therapy products.

Duties:

• Qualify and pursue sales leads for containment equipment in the pharmaceutical, bio pharmaceutical, cell, and gene therapy product fields
• Work with Pharmaceutical Applications Manger to promote and sell containment equipment
• Engage with customers through extended Q&A sessions, exhibitions, and attend virtual/in-person customer meetings
• Review and interpret customer documents
• Use phone/email/meetings and Microsoft Word to obtain quotes from sub-suppliers
• Use Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word to perform calculations and generate quotations
• Negotiate orders
• Assist the Marketing Department with the development of literature, signage, and tools to be used at various sales events, exhibitions, and the company website.
• Run sales reports and basic statistical analysis
• Analyze trends using Microsoft Excel
• Other duties as required

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelors or Associates degree from an accredited university
• 2+ years of experience with industrial equipment sales, notably containment processes for the pharmaceutical and chemical markets OR 3+ years of experience in an industrial/large lab setting, utilizing containment and pharmaceutical production equipment.
• Proficient in

Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft PowerpointPreferred Qualifications:

• Bachelors or Masters of Science degree in Chemistry, Physics, Math, or Engineering
• 1+ years of experience with sterile processing or sterile processing equipment sales
• Demonstrated ability to read and comprehend a Piping and Instrumentation Diagram
• Demonstrated understanding of Occupational Exposure Bands (OEB), Occupational Exposure Levels (OEL), and the necessary methods of confinement to meet specified OEBs/OELs
• 1+ years of experience with equipment validation in the pharmaceutical industry

Physical Requirements:

• Domestic and International travel (10% – 30%) – requires sitting, standing, walking, lifting, carrying, reaching, pushing, and pullingSalaries/Rate Ranges will vary and may be above or below this rate commensurate with several factors including experience, education, training, location, and merit.
