This is a full-time onsite role based in Menands, NY. Telecommuting is not permitted. Candidates must be available for a webcam interview and be on camera. Only those within commuting distance should apply. This is part of the New York HBITS initiative. Candidate who meets the requirements will be contacted and asked to provide necessary supporting documentation. What You’ll Do Collaborate with project management to fulfill objectives of the Business Information System (BIS) project under WCB’s BPR initiative. Guide and mentor a team of developers working on module-specific development. Facilitate and lead design sessions / technical reviews. Engage with ITS teams to coordinate use of shared services for the Medical Portal. Architect shared services with potential reuse by other agencies. Design and document the technical environment for the portal implementation. Lead structured code reviews to ensure compliance with best practices. Coordinate and oversee unit and integrated testing efforts. Enforce and uphold architectural, design, and coding standards. Develop comprehensive system documentation and technical specifications. What You’ll Need Requirement Details Team Leadership 5+ years leading a development team of five or more; proven mentoring and management capability Technical Documentation 5+ years creating/editing system documentation /technical specs Programming 5+ years writing C# code in Visual Studio Web Server Management 5+ years using IIS Web Server for application deployment Source Control 3+ years working with Team Foundation Server (TFS) Database Development 5+ years designing/deploying SQL objects, stored procedures, and schemas SOA Design 4+ years applying Service-Oriented Architecture principles Testing 3+ years writing and executing unit tests UI/UX Development 2+ years developing user interfaces using MVC framework pIeYoNx55k
