Job Description
Vatic Labs Operations, LLC (New York, NY) seeks a C++ Software Engineer.
Job duties:
Work directly with traders, researchers, and other developers to engineer cutting-edge, ultra-low latency, high throughput trading systems. Play a key role in taking projects from conception to deployment. Drive innovation for the frameworks upon which our trading applications are based, as well as benchmarking and tuning critical software services to achieve optimum performance. Focus on developing innovative platforms and systems that drive trading and research efforts by building performant software that is massively scalable, flexible, and forward-looking. Develop C/C++ systems in a Linux environment; conduct performance tuning and optimization of low latency software; build high performance software; build latency sensitive systems including low-level systems and network development; work with hardware stack and hardware architecture from a latency perspective; write assembly code; work with operating system internals and Linux kernel; and develop hardware accelerated low-latency graphical user interfaces for data visualization and realtime control and monitoring of trading systems using CPU native compiled languages including C++ and Rust.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or closely related engineering field. 2 years’ experience as a Software Engineer. 18 months of experience with the following: Performance tuning and optimization of low latency software; building high performance software; building latency sensitive systems with a strong understanding of low-level systems and network development; hardware stack and hardware architecture from a latency perspective; network protocols; stock and options exchange market data processing; effective software engineering and testing practices; and low latency user interface design.
Salary:
