Job Summary:

V2 Innovations Inc. is actively seeking a Core Java Developer with 5 10 years of solid backend development experience for a full-time onsite role in New York City, NY
. This is an excellent opportunity for developers passionate about building high-performance, low-latency applications in fast-paced, mission-critical environments.

Note:

Candidates must be local to NYC as onsite interviews and in-office work may be required.

Key Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and support high-performance, scalable Java-based backend applications.
Build and maintain low-latency systems to ensure high availability and responsiveness.
Collaborate with product managers, architects, and other developers to define and implement new features.
Perform code reviews and unit testing to maintain high code quality and reliability.
Continuously improve application performance, scalability, and resilience.
Troubleshoot and resolve production issues quickly and effectively.

Mandatory Skills:

5 10 years of hands-on experience with Core Java (Java 8 or above)
Expertise in building multi-threaded, scalable, and high-throughput Java applications
Proficiency in Redis for in-memory data storage and caching
Solid experience with Kafka for messaging and data streaming
Strong knowledge of SQL and experience with relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL, Oracle)

Preferred Qualifications:

Background in financial services
, trading, or high-transaction volume environments
Deep understanding of Java collections, multithreading, and JVM internals
Exposure to CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab, etc.) and Agile development practices
Familiarity with containerization and deployment tools (Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus
