Duties:

Lead the analysis, design, development and maintenance of our data platform, including establishing the firm’s central reference data system for securities and pricing data, and a variety of other software applications, tools, and functions for the business. Work with project managers, business analysts, and development leads to gather business requirements and analysis to conceptualize the application design. Provide architectural and design recommendations, and develop code using best practices and ensuring minimal maintenance. Document code changes, application functions and workflows, definitions, and troubleshooting steps to ensure proper logging and updates to the code repository. Work with IT systems architects, database administrators, and cyber security teams to meet the application’s back-end functionality demands. Engage with user interface designers and front-end engineers to create the front-end interface of the applications and optimize user experience. Coordinate the integration of applications with the larger company software ecosystem.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, information technology, or engineering (computer or electrical and electronics), plus 5 years of progressive post-Bachelor’s experience in the position offered or software developer or engineer position at an investment bank or financial institution•All required experience must have included: directing large-scale application design, development, and maintenance of banking or trading platforms and systems; managing a global multi-tiered team of at least 10 software engineering professionals; overseeing the enhancement and support of banking/trading applications and associated modules to account for new exchanges, comply with regulatory reporting rules, and increase functionality and scalability; understanding market data, operational data, securities, and various asset classes including derivatives, futures, swaps and options; and working with

AS400, RPGLE, FIS

GMI, Databricks, SQL and Microservices.

This role entails hybrid work, with time split between working in our New York City office and flexibility to telecommute from another U.S. location.
