L4 Full Stack Software Engineer Position Available In New York, New York

Asana, Inc. seeks a L4 Full Stack Software Engineer for its New York, NY location (40% Telecommuting permitted).

Duties:

Support end-to-end development and enhancement to the company’s new website features. Support end-to-end development and enhancement to the company’s existing website features. Design data model changes, determine scaling strategies, and implement User Experience (UX) changes to the company’s website features. Work across multiple phases of software development life cycle within a project to design, code, test, and document large, complex software requirements for new or enhanced website applications for customer software platform, collaborating with stakeholders as needed. Design and develop high-quality and scalable code, implementing maintainable technical solutions based on business goals, unique product requirements, and technical reliability, scalability, and performance. Collaborate with software engineers to set operational specifications, create optimum software, and ensure through software maintenance and testing that the solutions function normally and work seamlessly in conjunction with each other to achieve their objectives. Write automated regression tests for code and review designs and codes from other software engineers to ensure a high quality for software development. Prioritize and lead debugging efforts for incoming bug reports for the team. Perform A/B testing analysis and experimentation, usage tracking and instrumentation to run live user-facing experiments to provide enhanced user experiences. Mentor junior engineers.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, or closely related technical field of study and one (1) year of experience as a Software Engineer or a related position. Alternatively, employer will accept a Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, or closely related technical field. Any suitable combination of education, experience, or training is acceptable.

Must have demonstrated ability with:

Utilizing Object-Oriented and Functional Programming Languages; Utilizing software architecture and design frameworks to build user interfaces; Providing cost estimates for code changes and/or new feature; Utilizing algorithms and data structures to introduce, improve and modify code; Utilizing data model changes management to implement User Experience (UX) changes to new and existing features; Writing unit test cases to ensure that new and existing code works according to specifications; Utilizing A/B testing analysis to run and analyze live user-facing experiments and iterate as needed by measuring impact on business metrics; and Utilizing GitHub to develop changes to code base, perform peer code reviews, and maintain documentation files. 40 hours/week;

Salary:
