Principal Engineer – Clearing Infrastructure Position Available In New York, New York

Intercontinental Exchange Holdings, Inc. seeks Principal Engineer – Clearing Infrastructure in New York, NY, to play a pivotal role in developing and maintaining critical clearing infrastructure systems that serve vital markets such as oil, sugar, and cotton, supporting economies around the world. Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field and five (5) years of progressively responsible experience: performing development with Java technologies, including Java performance tuning, debugging, and memory profiling; working with container technologies including Docker, Podman, and container orchestration tools including Kubernetes, Helm, and Kustomize; using Tanzu and OpenShift platforms; utilizing data structures, algorithms, OOD and design patterns; working with distributed messaging and JMS; using Spring and its frameworks including Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, Spring Data, and Spring AOP; working with relational databases including Oracle, SQL, PL/SQL, Hibernate/MyBatis, JDBC, and JPA; conducting multi-threaded server side development; performing unit testing with Spring Boot Test, Mockito, and Junit; working with distributed transactions with JTA and managers including Atomikos and Narayana; and using build pipelines and CI/CD tools. Telecommuting and/or working from home may be permissible pursuant to company policies. When not telecommuting, must report to work site. The expected base salary for this role is between $180,000 – $224,675 per year, 40 hours per week. The base salary range does not include Intercontinental Exchange’s incentive compensation.
