Software Engineer II Position Available In New York, New York

McKinsey & Company Inc. US is seeking a Software Engineer II in NY, NY. Produce high-quality full-stack code to create reusable components for content editors on the McKinsey.com website. Possess a strong understanding of architectural principles on cloud platforms and develop services on Azure cloud. Design and develop robust backend solutions such as APIs and functions aimed at automating processes with minimal human intervention. Write unit tests and conduct regression testing with each new iteration/release of the product. Proficient in Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) tools and pipelines to automate code deployment processes. Assist in troubleshooting issues and enhance application performance by addressing defects. Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and implementation meetings. Provide support to end-users and troubleshoot any issues that arise. Collaborate with internal users, stakeholders, and other teams responsible for different aspects of the ecosystem such as design, security, and cloud infrastructure. Actively engage in SCRUM and Agile software processes, identifying blockers, presenting demos in sprint reviews, providing status updates, and defining and estimating tasks. Telecommuting permitted.

Qualified applicants for this position must possess a Minimum of a Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems Management, or related field or foreign degree equivalent. Qualified applicants for this position must have a minimum one (1) year of experience.

Experience must include the following:

knowledge and hands-on experience across the entire application stack, utilizing HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Asp.net C#, Asp.net MVC, and Asp.net Core, along with various frameworks; Developing full-stack applications using ReactJS and Blazor, emphasizing code that is readable, testable, maintainable, and scalable; understanding of SQL Server database systems; Familiarity with cloud-native tools and various cloud providers, with a specific understanding of Azure; working with Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines and related tools; comprehension of object-oriented programming principles and software architecture; Proficient in Web/Rest API development, utilizing Dapper ORM and OpenAPI/Swagger for documentation; working with JSON and LINQ programming APIs; Collaborating effectively with developers and engaging with both technical and non-technical stakeholders within cross-functional teams; Working in Agile environments, actively participating in sprint ceremonies to ensure project success.
