Description:
Software Engineer (Multiple Positions), DoorDash, Inc., New York, NY. Develop a 24×7, global infrastructure system that powers DoorDash’s three-sided marketplace of consumers, merchants, and dashers. Perform system administration, unit tests and analyze resulting implications for architectural design and system improvements. Conduct tests and review to improve performance, reliability, scalability, and security for our applications and software overall. Evaluate the technical trade-offs of every software project decision, analyze data to inform recommendations, and automate wherever possible. Be involved in transitioning our monolithic codebase to a microservice-based architecture. Participate in any company-wide training programs (WeDash, etc.). Up to 80% Telecommuting Permitted. (SWE-S-102-NY) 40 hrs/week, Mon-Fri, 8:30 a.m. – 5:30 p.m.
Salary Range:
$188,000 – $282,000/yr.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or closely related quantitative discipline and one (1) year of experience in the field of Software Engineering, Software Development, Program Analytics or related occupation.
Qualifying experience must include the following skills, which may be gained concurrently:1) Programming languages such as Java, Python, C/C++;2) JavaScript;3) SQL or NoSQL Database;4) Distributed Systems;5) REST APIs; and,6) Agile or Scrum methodology.
Up to 10% travel (domestic and/or international) based on business need.
