Job Description:

Design scalable systems to solve novel problems with modern cloud technology and industry best practices. Solve unique, large scale, highly complex technical problems, bridging the constraints posed by web-scale applications and blockchain technology. Build the next generation of systems to make cryptocurrency accessible to everyone across the globe, operating real-time applications with high frequency, low latency updates, and managing the most secure, dockerized infrastructure running in the cloud. Decompose our monolithic Rails app into microservices. Articulate a long-term vision for maintaining and scaling our backend systems. Work with engineers, designers, product managers and senior leadership to turn our product and technical vision into a tangible roadmap every quarter. Write high quality, well-tested code to meet the needs of our customers. Telecommuting permitted.

Job Requirements:

Bachelor’s or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or in a related field and 4 years of experience in the job offered or in a computer-related occupation.

Special Requirements:

Position requires experience, knowledge or coursework in each of the following skills: 1.Software development, writing production-level clean, re-useable, and testable code in Go and Ruby programming languages to build applications and features while adhering to software development code and standards2.Testing, debugging, and deploying and other code competencies as it relates to and supports development of tier 0 (mission critical) services3.Modeling, persistence, and management of web3 and blockchain technology related data 4.Working within many-Client/many-Server environment with an understanding of software practices such as vertical and horizontal scaling, caching, and availability vs latency5.Relational and Non-Relational database systems such as RDS, Dynamo, Mongo, Redis and Memcached in both managed and unmanaged environments6.Microservice architecture design, decomposition, and delivery using Docker, Sidecar patterns and gRPC design7.Creating and updating scripts to support development operations such as building, testing, and deploying applications8.Working with industry standard tools such as: Docker, Git, Codeflow, Kubernetes, and Kafka9.Cloud technologies such as AWS and developing cloud-based applicationsSuccessfully pass pre-employment (post offer) background check.
