Description:

What You’ll do Own the future scalability of our core platform, designing event-driven systems that scale “infinitely” from backend to frontend
Architect and implement foundational data systems, message-based and event-based streams that serve as the backbone of our platform
Define and drive the technical roadmap for platform scalability, performance, and reliability
Establish architectural patterns and standards that will be adopted across the engineering organization Technical Leadership Set the standard for engineering excellence through both technical contributions and mentorship
Drive technological and process standards that fundamentally improve how we build and operate systems
Partner with engineering andpany leadership to align platform architecture with long-term business objectives
Lead the technical design and implementation ofpany-critical infrastructure initiatives Organizational Impact Mentor and coach senior engineers on architectural best practices and scalable system design
Drive collaboration and knowledge sharing across teams to ensure consistent adoption of platform standards
Proactively identify and clear technical obstacles that could impede thepany’s growth trajectory
Raise long-term engineering priorities to the executive level with clear proposals for execution Qualifications Required BS or MS inputer science, math, or related field
10+ years of professional experience with significant platform/infrastructure ownership
Deep expertise in designing and implementing event-driven architectures at scale
Proven track record of architecting systems that have successfully scaled 10-100x
Expert-level understanding of distributed systems, data streaming platforms (Kafka, Kinesis, etc.), and event sourcing patterns
Experience with cloud-native architectures and AWS services at scale
Track record of introducing new standards and technologies that transformed engineering organizations
Demonstrated ability to influence technical direction at the executive level Leadership & Impact History of owning and evolving critical platform services that entire engineering organizations depend on
Experience mentoring senior-level engineers and technical leads
Ability tomunicateplex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences Bonus Points Experience scaling healthcare or life sciences platforms with strictpliance requirements
Contributions to open-source projects in the distributed systems space
Experience with real-time data processing and analytics infrastructure
