We are seeking an experienced Controls Software Engineerfor our Shelby Township, MI site with a background in industrialsoftware development. The Controls Software Engineer will initiallysupport active projects and then transition to completing projectsdirectly. They will take the lead on developing software on newprojects and debug software on new machines. This role requirestravel to customer sites for equipment installation and customerinteraction. What You Will Do Design PLC software and HMIs forindustrial automation equipment Debug and troubleshoot PLC softwareand HMIs Collaborate with cross-functional teams to maintainproject timelines and critical path milestones. Maintain task listsand reports of open items. Maintain project design documentationand prepare customer deliverables. Ensure the controls engineeringprocess is tracked and followed. Assist customers and localtradespeople in troubleshooting equipment issues. Conduct end-usertraining on equipment operation. Education & ExperienceRequirements Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering degreepreferred; Mechatronics degrees will also be considered. Minimum oftwo years of experience as a Controls Engineer or Controls SoftwareEngineer with e xperience in designing Rockwell Logix 5000 orSiemens S7-1500 family processors. Knowledge or education inelectrical circuits, schematic reading, design, andtroubleshooting. Experience with electrical CAD systems, such asAutoCAD Electrical and/or ePLAN Experience with PLC programming inladder and structured text. Experience programming
HMIs Travelrequired:
approximately 30% domestic and international. Weekendwork may be required based on project schedules. PreferredExperience in computer programming languages, such as VB, C/C++, orC#.
