The salary range for this position is $28.00 to $34.00 per hour depending on experience. We are seeking an experienced CNC Programmer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing, optimizing, and maintaining CNC milling programs to produce high-precision components, primarily for aerospace and defense applications. This role requires strong proficiency in CATIA V5/Siemens NX, along with a solid understanding of milling processes, tooling, materials, and industry quality standards while working closely with cross-functional teams to streamline production, improve cycle times, and resolve machining issues to ensure consistent accuracy and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
Design & Interpretation:
Create, read, and interpret engineering drawings and 3D models, ensuring clear communication of machining requirements.
Technical Drawings:
Interpret and analyze technical drawings, blueprints, and CAD models to determine machining operations and sequences.
Program Development:
Create and optimize CNC programs using
CATIA V5
CAM/Siemens NX software to produce complex aerospace and defense components.
Tool Selection:
Select appropriate tools, fixtures, and materials for each job, ensuring machine capabilities align with part specifications.
Tooling & Fixtures:
Select and install appropriate tooling for each job and design/create custom fixtures when necessary
Documentation:
Maintain accurate records of CNC programs, machine setups, modifications, and test results.
Setup and Testing:
Generate documentation to set up CNC machines, perform test runs, and make necessary adjustments to ensure parts meet specified quality and tolerance standards.
Collaboration:
Work closely with engineers, machinists, and quality control teams to resolve technical issues and improve machining processes.
Supervision:
Oversee CNC operators, ensuring compliance with safety protocols and quality standards throughout the production process.
Quality Control:
Conduct quality checks on finished products using precision measuring tools to ensure compliance with part specifications.
Continuous Improvement:
Stay updated with the latest advancements in CNC programming and machining technologies to improve production efficiency and quality.

Ensure all machining operations comply with safety regulations, industry standards, and best practices.
