CTG’s long-standing Fortune 500 client of over 15 years has a W2 contract assignment for a Software Engineer II.

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field
Description:
The Software Engineer II will focus on investigation-oriented image processing. The selected candidate will develop algorithms to extract specific features from image datasets, then analyze the consistency of these features across the dataset to derive key insights into processes. This role requires advanced software engineering skills, a strong understanding of image processing, and experience working with large datasets.
Requirements:
- Strong proficiency in MATLAB
- Experience with MATLAB toolboxes such as Parallel Processing, Image Processing, Curve Fitting, and Signal Processing
- Proven ability to debug and log errors in custom software
- Solid understanding of statistics, including higher-order moments and correlation techniques
- Demonstrated experience writing data processing software with multiple layers of subroutines
- Comfortable working with large datasets ranging from gigabytes to terabytes
- Must possess a thorough understanding of engineering or scientific theories, concepts, principles, and techniques
- Ability to develop and resolve solutions to moderately complex technical problems
- Works under general direction with established goals and procedures
- Work is reviewed for sound technical judgment and adequacy
- Internal communication is common; occasional external interaction
Daily Responsibilities:
- Organize and maintain an existing code library
- Develop new image processing algorithms to extract and analyze key features
- Support deployment of software as needed
- Collaborate with team members to enhance code efficiency and maintainability
Travel Requirements:
- Minimal travel required (less than 5%)
- Occasional site visits may be necessary for software deployment
Required Qualifications Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant technical field (e.
g., Engineering, Computer Science, Physics)
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience in a similar software engineering or algorithm development role
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills Additional Information
