Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Manager of Application Development and Support to lead the ongoing support, enhancement, and strategic direction of Hyperion Applications, Hyperion Server Infrastructure, SAS Infrastructure, and SAS Applications. This role will be responsible for managing a team of application development professionals, ensuring data integrity, security, scalability, and durability of critical financial systems.
This role requires a strong technical background, leadership experience, and expertise in financial applications to ensure the smooth operation and continuous improvement of enterprise-wide Hyperion and SAS solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
Technical Leadership & System Management
Oversee Hyperion Planning, Financial Reports, Essbase, EPMA, EAS, DRM, Smart View, and Hyperion security configuration.
Manage and enhance SAS Applications, Office Analytics, Enterprise Guide, Management Console, DI Studio, and CPM.
Ensure system scalability, security, and reliability while maintaining best practices for data integrity and governance.
Lead efforts in
SQL, PL/SQL
Server, and SSIS for effective data management and integration. Team & Stakeholder Management
Manage, mentor, and develop a team of application development professionals, fostering growth and performance.
Provide technical coaching and career development for direct reports while driving high-quality software delivery.
Collaborate with finance, planning, and analytics teams to gather business requirements and develop Hyperion-based solutions.
Ensure seamless communication between IT and business units, translating technical challenges into business-friendly language. Strategic Planning & Process Improvement
Define and implement best practices, standards, and governance for Hyperion and SAS applications.
Drive innovation by recommending and integrating new tools and technologies that improve performance and efficiency.
Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and lead initiatives for continuous improvement.
Required Qualifications & Skills:
Leadership & Management:
3+ years of direct team management experience (coaching, mentoring, performance development).
Proven ability to lead a technical team while delivering high-quality solutions.
Industry Experience:
7+ years in the financial services industry, with hands-on experience in financial applications & analytics.
Technical Expertise:
Deep knowledge of Hyperion Planning, Financial Reports, Essbase, EPMA, EAS, DRM, Smart View, and Hyperion security configuration.
Strong experience with SAS applications including Office Analytics, Enterprise Guide, Management Console, DI Studio, and CPM.
Proficiency in
SQL, PL/SQL
Server, and SSIS for data management and integration.
Communication & Problem-Solving:
Excellent ability to translate business needs into technical solutions.
Strong presentation and communication skills to collaborate with stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with enterprise-scale financial applications and analytics
Knowledge of cloud-based Hyperion and SAS solutions
Exposure to data visualization tools & BI platforms
