Senior level Communication skills Banking Full Job Description Job descriptionMainframe Developer / Senior Developer Job description This is a developer / senior developer position for a skilled Mainframe Developer to design, develop, maintain, and optimize mainframe legacy Banking applications. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience with COBOL, JCL, VSAM/DB2, and CICS, along with a deep understanding of batch and online processing. The role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure efficient, scalable, and secure mainframe systems that support critical business functions. Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and maintain mainframe applications using COBOL, JCL, VSAM, DB2, and CICS with Mainframe tools and utilities. Analyze system requirements and create high-level and low-level technical documents.
- Optimize mainframe application performance and troubleshoot issues.
- Work with batch processing systems and scheduling tools like
TWS/CA-7.
- Develop and maintain database objects
VSAM/DB2.
Collaborate with business analysts, system architects, and quality assurance teams. Required Skillsets Core Mainframe Technologies

- Very Good knowledge in CICSPlex development and configuration standards

- Strong skills to understand legacy application/architecture and identify impact of proposed changes
- Well versed in DevOps practices for mainframe CI/CD pipeline (Bitbucket/Git/Changeman)
- Experience / working knowledge of FIS-Systematics banking solution will have an advantage
- Domain knowledge of Banking and Financial services industry
