Job Summary:
Join our dynamic team as a Senior Mainframe Developer. You’ll collaborate closely with product owners, business analysts, and fellow developers to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions. This role is part of our exciting 2025 Global Payments project, focusing on risk at the customer level scope.
Key Responsibilities:
Translating business requirements into technical specifications and creating or modifying applications.
Writing and testing code in languages like COBOL, JCL, and Easytrieve.
Collaborating with other developers, project managers, and business analysts for seamless system integration.
Maintaining existing applications, resolving issues, and ensuring system stability.
Identifying and resolving application issues, optimizing performance, and improving the efficiency of the mainframe environment.
Creating and maintaining technical documentation for applications and processes.
Skills Required:
Proficiency in COBOL, JCL, DB2, and CICS.
Experience with VSAM, TSO/ISPF, and Endevor.
Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
Knowledge of DevOps tools and practices is a plus.
Experience in the financial services or insurance industry is preferred.
Working knowledge of Fiserv’s PEP+ platform and API development experience.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or 6+ years work experience in mainframe development.
