Summary:

As a Software Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and maintaining high-quality software solutions. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements, translate them into technical specifications, and deliver scalable and efficient software solutions. This role requires strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a passion for technology. SSD is also responsible for working with Special Interest Groups (SIG) and groups within Vector and external entities on ‘special’ projects as technical lead or support We are seeking candidates who have a bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer information systems or related field and minimum of 7 years of work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Additionally, you will have experience with the following:

What You’ll Do:

Design, develop, and maintain software applications and components according to project requirements and industry best practices. Work together in a team development environment and design and develop code using Microsoft tools including ASP & HTML, Visual Studio. Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code using programming languages such as Java, Python, C++, or others as required by the project. Conduct unit testing, integration testing, and debugging to ensure the reliability, stability, and performance of software applications. Create and maintain technical documentation including design documents, specifications, and user manuals to facilitate future maintenance and enhancements. Stay updated with the latest technologies, tools, and trends in software development to continuously improve skills and enhance the quality of deliverables. Identify and address technical challenges and bottlenecks proactively and propose effective solutions to overcome them. Participate in code reviews to ensure code quality, maintainability, and adherence to coding standards.

Designing & Developing database and software applications & web pages. Must be knowledgeable to develop software and lead group.

Advance Understanding of Software Development & Tools:

Needed to guide our development effort and roadmap our software development strategy. BS in

Computer Science:

Needed to guide our development effort and road map our Software development strategy.

Working Knowledge of MS-SQL Server:

Need to understand database design and MS-SQL as all applications use MS-SQL server as the database

Written & Verbal Communication Skills:

Responsible for working with others and for preparing documentation. Some Travel May be

Required:

Needed to work with team or end users.
