Embedded Software Engineer Position Available In Chester, Pennsylvania

Embedded Firmware Engineer West Chester, PA – Full-time position Salary range: $90,000 – $120,000 + 10% annual bonus Position Description Candidate needs to be able to work in a team environment with other engineers and disciplines to develop and integrate software/hardware into complex avionics equipment. The candidate will be writing code in C with some assembly code for lower level or performance critical functions. The candidate can make assessments on reusability, maintainability, and efficiency on software across product lines. The candidate will be responsible for the development of low-level software requirements and design documentation in accordance with

RTCA DO-178B/C

guidelines. The candidate should utilize their own expertise within a team environment to add input on technical approaches for software/product design in compliance with FAA guidelines and or established processes.

Requirements:

Must be eligible to work in the U.S. without sponsorship due to ITAR compliance requirements.

Required degree:

oBachelor of Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering (with C exposure).

Required Knowledge:

oEmbedded systems knowledge oARM processor (or similar) based development oRead and Write C source code oRead Assembly language oAbility to read and understand electronic component datasheets Desired skills: oReal Time Operating System (i.e. VxWorks) knowledge is desired oBoard Level programming knowledge (i.e. u-boot) is desired oInterface knowledge: SPI, 422, 485, i2C, USB, ethernet, RGB, LVDS, MIPI oAbility to use Debugger and low level troubleshooting skills is desired oFamiliarity with Eclipse or other IDEs is a plus oLinux experience is desired oMulti core processor knowledge is desired Required personnel traits: oProfessional and effective communication skills are must. oComplex problem-solving skills are necessary. oQuick learners that can research and self-teach are desired. oDependability, accountability, availability are mandatory.
