Responsibilities In this role, you’ll: Drive technical excellenceby designing, implementing, and optimizing highly scalabledistributed systems that power Twilios Identity and Securityproducts Architect and build secure, reliable solutions thatprotect users against evolving threats while maintainingfrictionless experiences Partner closely with engineeringleadership to define and execute technical roadmaps, makingcritical technical decisions that balance innovation withreliability Lead incident response, root cause analysis, andremediation efforts, applying a methodical approach to solvingcomplex production issues Proactively identify opportunities forsystem improvement, security enhancements, and performanceoptimization across our Identity and Security portfolio Advocatefor thoughtful balance between feature development and technicaldebt reduction to ensure long-term system health Mentor engineersacross multiple teams, fostering a culture of technical excellence,ownership, and continuous learning Communicate complex technicalconcepts effectively to diverse audiences, ranging from engineersto executive, while adjusting your approach based on the audienceStay abreast of industry trends and emerging threats in identityand authentication to ensure our products remain at the forefrontof security best practices Qualifications Twilio values diverseexperiences from all kinds of industries, and we encourage everyonewho meets the required qualifications to apply. Required:
10 years ofexperience building and operating highly scalable, distributedsystems with a focus on security, reliability, and performanceStrong hands-on engineering skills and willingness to dive deepinto code to solve complex problems Demonstrated expertise indesigning and implementing resilient, fault-tolerant systems thatcan scale to millions of users Experience making high-impacttechnical decisions and leading cross-team technical initiativesProven track record of driving technical excellence while keepingcustomer needs at the center of your work Strong collaborativeskills with the ability to influence and align diverse stakeholdersaround technical strategy Deep understanding of softwareengineering best practices, including monitoring, observability,and building maintainable systems Exceptional communication skills,with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to bothtechnical and non-technical audiences Experience mentoringengineers and elevating the technical capabilities of teams Degreein Computer Science or related field, or equivalent work experience

217,000.00•$271,300.00 This role may be eligible to participatein Twilio’s equity plan and corporate bonus plan.
