The Opportunity at Komodo Health We are seeking a SeniorSoftware Engineer to design, build, and scale Komodo Health’sAI-powered Public Data Acquisition, Extraction, and CurationPlatform. This role is instrumental in transforming the way wehandle unstructured and semi-structured data to generate structuredinsights, directly powering Komodo’s Data and Products. As a SeniorSoftware Engineer, you will drive innovation at the intersection ofAutomation and Generative and Agentic AI to scale acquiring andhandling of public data and optimizing human-in-the-loop workflows.
You will be responsible for evolving the platform to handle thecomplexity, variability, and scale to include new domains. Youll behands-on in designing, developing, and maintaining at least TWO ofthe following: Scalable and generalizable data extraction processesand APIs, leveraging Generative and Agentic AI for entity andrelationship extraction. AI-driven intelligence, automation, andtooling for linking, validation, and enhancement of extracted data,incorporating human-in-the-loop processes, with automated changedetection and curation workflows. Scalable and intelligent crawling& scraping infrastructure and tooling to significantly reduceonboarding time of new sources while ensuring automated operations,handling failure modes requiring human intervention only whenabsolutely necessary. APIs and platform capabilities to providevisibility, operational insights, and optimization across allstages of data acquisition, extraction, and curation workflows andprocesses. Progressively advancing AI capabilities from AI-poweredto autonomous agents that can independently handle unstructureddata, reducing human intervention while continuously improvingaccuracy, adaptability, and efficiency. Beyond contributing code,youll collaborate with and influence a high-performance engineeringteam, driving the development of scalable, resilient dataworkflows. Youll ensure engineering excellence, align systemcapabilities with product needs, and own the evolution of a set ofplatform capabilities built to handle the growing complexity ofintegration at scale. Increased data onboarding velocity, improved extraction accuracy,and reduced costs through purpose-built platform capabilities andautomation. Partnered with Product and Engineering teams to executea high-impact technical roadmap, influence key technical decisions,and ensure seamless platform adoption. Developed and maintainedhigh-quality, test-covered code using Python, AWS services and GenAI, while implementing best practices in source control, CI/CD, andenvironment management. What you bring to
Komodo Health:
6-8 yearsminimum of hands-on software engineering experience, with expertisein designing scalable, distributed systems. Strong Python, No SQL,SQL, Vector DBs, AWS (such as Lambda, Step Functions and Fargate)skills. Experience with infrastructure-as-code (Such asCloudFormation, CDK, Terraform) Experience with Large LanguageModels (LLMs), RAG, and AI-driven data handling or related areassuch as information retrieval or process automation Experience inscaling APIs, preferably for data processing. Experience withorchestration tools, version control (Git), CI/CD (GithubActions)). Experience planning, breaking down, and estimatingengineering tasks using standard software developmentmethodologies. Strong communication and leadership skills, with theability to translate complex technical challenges into actionablesolutions. LIRemote Compensation at Komodo Health The pay range foreach job posting reflects a minimum and maximum range of pay thatwe reasonably expect to pay across all U.S. locations and may spanmore than one career level. We carefully consider multiplebusiness-related factors when determining compensation, includingjob-related skills, work experience, geographic work location,relevant training and certifications, business needs and marketdemands. The U.S. national starting annual base pay for this roleis listed below. This position may be eligible forperformance-based bonuses as determined in the Company’s solediscretion and in accordance with a written agreement or plan.$162,000 – $253,000 USD Where You’ll Work Komodo Health has ahybrid work model; we recognize the power of choice and importanceof flexibility for the well-being of both our company and ourindividual Dragons.
