About the role:
We’re looking for a motivated full stackSoftware Engineer to join our Safety Events and Workflows team.
Samsara’s safety event platform integrates advanced sensor data,data analytics, and cutting-edge AI to enable customer and driverworkflows that ensure safe driving behavior. This role calls for asolid grasp of software engineering practices, effectivecommunication abilities, and a keenness to learn and collaboratewith a team of skilled engineers. You will design and developfeatures across a broad surface area with a tangible impact oncurrent and future customers. This is a remote position open tocandidates residing in the US.

- Solve complex problems and own the successof your solutions as you architect, build, test, and deliverfull-stack products.
- Communicate, collaborate, and develop withengineers, platform/infrastructure teams, product managers,designers, and support teams.
- Build upon skills and knowledgeacross a range of technologies, such as Go, GraphQL, Typescript,React, and MySQL. Previous experience with these technologies isnot required.
- Own the operational health of production systems aswe build for the future scale of an ever-growing customer base.
- Make an impact on our core architecture, roadmap, and the widerengineering community.
Minimum requirements for the role:
- 1-3years of experience in software development.
- Experience shippingfeatures that are used by customers and iterate on customerfeedback to inform what to deliver next.
- Strong communicationskills and a desire to collaborate. You can explain why you buildsomething a certain way and be open to suggestions from otherengineers and stakeholders.
- A growth mindset and excitementaround building new skills and expertise.
- Should be a quicklearner and operate with minimum supervision.
- Comfort withbuilding out end-to-end solutions. A preference for front-end orback-end development is okay, but you’ll need to be happy workingacross the stack.
- Assist in maintaining the production systemsyour team owns and provide operational support when necessary.
- Utilize logs and metrics for tracking down and investigating bugs,ensuring the robustness and reliability of our systems.
An idealcandidate also has:
- 1 years of full stack experience working in afast-paced environment and contributing to an early-stage product.
- Experience with taking LLM systems to production.
- Effectivelycollaborated on a geographically distributed team.
- Maintainsoftware products at scale.
- Experience in Go, GraphQL,Typescript, React, and AWS is a plus.
