Job Summary We are looking for a Techno functional Lead (Eng4) on our Supply Chain Engineering team, where you’ll build backend systems that connect critical supply chain business functions with the broader Comcast ecosystem. This role supports applications that drive operational efficiency and integrates with our ERP systems through the FinTech Fusion program. You’ll work at the intersection of technology and business, delivering scalable solutions that power our end-to-end supply chain operations. Job Description This role is based in our downtown-Philadelphia HQ and is not approved for remote or Virtual hire. Core Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services using Java and Spring Boot in a microservices architecture.
Build and enhance user-facing applications using Angular.
Integrate backend systems with ERP platforms to support supply chain operations such as warehouse management and order processing.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product managers, business analysts, and other engineers to deliver high-quality solutions.
Collaborates with project stakeholders to identify product and technical requirements. Conducts analysis to determine integration needs.
Designs new software and web applications, supports applications under development and customizes current applications. Develops software update process for existing applications. Assists in the roll-out of software releases.
Trains junior Software Development Engineers on internally developed software applications.
Oversees the researching, writing and editing of documentation and technical requirements, including evaluation plans, test results, technical manuals and formal recommendations and reports.
Keeps current with technological developments within the industry. Monitors and evaluates competitive applications and products. Reviews literature, patents and current practices relevant to the solution of assigned projects.
Provides technical leadership throughout the design process and guidance with regards to practices, procedures and techniques. Serves as a guide and mentor for junior level Software Development Engineers.
Assists in tracking and evaluating performance metrics. Ensures team delivers software on time, to specification and within budget.
Works with Quality Assurance team to determine if applications fit specification and technical requirements.
Displays expertise in knowledge of engineering methodologies, concepts and skills and their application in the area of specified engineering specialty.
Displays expertise in process design and redesign skills. Presents and defends architectural, design and technical choices to internal audiences.
Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance. Qualifications 7+ years of professional software engineering experience, with a strong emphasis on backend development and enterprise system integration.
Proficiency in Java and Spring Boot, with hands-on experience designing and maintaining microservices-based architectures.
Experience developing modern web applications using Angular.
Strong database expertise, including:
Oracle (SQL, PL/SQL) for transactional systems
MongoDB for NoSQL and document-based data models
Proven ability to operate as a techno-functional lead, supporting a single product area such as warehouse management or order processing, and acting as a business function expert.
Experience integrating backend services with ERP systems and supporting supply chain operations.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with a track record of working effectively across engineering, product, and business teams.
