Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Job Summary:
SEACORP’s Training Systems Business Area is currently seeking a Software Engineer. Software Engineers research, design, and develop computer and network software or specialized utility programs. As a software engineer, the candidate requires the ability to listen to customer requirements, perform analysis and document software and/or system requirements/design utilizing Modelling Based Systems Engineering.
Job Responsibilities Include:
Analyze user needs and develop software solutions, applying principles and techniques of computer science, engineering, and mathematical analysis. Update or enhance existing software capabilities. Work within an Agile/Scrum process, design and develop software end-products within a team environment utilizing Object Oriented Programming, and design and develop pipeline constructs to conduct code analysis, automated unit tests, and automated functional tests.
Perform detailed analysis of test requirements in conjunction with commercial products available to automate repetitive test steps.
Qualifications:
Education:
Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Engineering, or Information Systems.
Experience:
1 year of experience.
Ideal Skills and Experience:
Knowledge of Qt Framework, Redhat Linux, C++, Python, GitHub and Gradle for incorporation into the Continuous Integration / Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipeline. Knowledge of virtualization and/or container technology, network communication protocols such as AMQP, Zero
MQ, CORBA, TCPIP
Sockets. Information Assurance, Cybersecurity knowledge/experience are also desirable. Applications developed are for Navy systems and past experience developing and testing Navy systems is also highly desirable.
