Principal Architect to design and deliver efficient technical solutions in furtherance of our technical initiatives relating to multiple software applications. Partner and collaborate with software development manager, business analysts, architects, quality assurance, business partners, developers, and project managers to deliver change and innovation into our software and user experience. Involved throughout the entire development life cycle of software product and deliver efficient solution, identifying and mitigating any risks to the product before deployment to production. Design and develop large software systems, including requirements analysis, estimation, implementation, and testing. Provide architectural blueprints and technical leadership to the IT team. Evaluate and recommend tools, technologies, and processes to ensure the highest quality software product platform. Support new technological foundations for big data and create new technology systems that align to the company’s strategic data goals as well as overarching enterprise data strategy. Create new processes, systems, tools, and technologies in response to the needs of internal stakeholders. Provide technical direction for the design, development, testing, and implementation of data warehousing solutions. Optimize the manageability, flexibility, and utility of data platforms, synthesizing the needs of key client-facing stakeholders into clear roadmaps and execution plans. Collaborate with architects, managers, data engineering teams to plan projects, define high level solution and design, assign architect resources, assess risks, and manage stakeholder communication. Design, build and drive overall data warehousing and reporting platforms, including strategy, methodology, and roadmap for the processes, systems, tools, and capabilities required to produce and maintain our core data assets. Identify areas of the company’s technology systems that can be automated and develop those automation technologies with an elevated sense of urgency. Responsible for strategic planning processes, translating non-technical business needs to IT solutions. Telecommuting available. Multiple openings. Bachelors degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field and five (5) years of progressive, postbaccalaureate experience in the job offered or related occupation. Requires five (5) years of experience in each of the following: Java, Python, or Node.js; ATG Commerce, Java, or Spring Boot microservices;

Databases:

Cassandra, MongoDB, Google Big Query, Oracle, or Redis; REST, SOAP, and Web Service APIs; Software development life cycle (SDLC); Developing backend services, performing code reviews, and collaborating with peers on software development solutions; Data analytics on large data sets in healthcare, business, or retail sector; Healthcare, Insurance, or Financial services industry experience; RDBMS, including MySQL, PostgreSQL, RDS, or Oracle; and Relational database concepts.
