Principal JAVA Framework Engineer – v17, Spring, Spring Boot API Management /
Integration TechnologyThe Role:
Fidelity is seeking a Principal JAVA Engineer to lead Enterprise in crafting a modern, digital API ecosystem delivering better customer experiences faster, enabling expansion to new markets and providing access to legacy and third-party systems.
As a principal software engineer on the team, your primary role will be to build PoC, develop / implement the reusable JAVA framework components, testing and deploy in cloud environment. You will be working closely with architects to understand the standards at high level, develop low level design aligning to enterprise / BU standards and develop framework components and deploy in cloud. You are encouraged to quickly gain an understanding of all the components of our platform to be able to lead and chip into strategic roadmaps and initiatives related to the improvement, maintenance, and support of the platform and tools.
The Expertise and Skills You BringBachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Engineering10+ years of development experience (currently hands on) in Java 17, Spring MVC / Spring Core / Spring Boot 3.xx, APIs, microservices, and cloud deployment.
Working Knowledge of API management software such as Stratum, Apigee and other integration technologies such as messaging software, streaming (Kafka) etc.
Experienced with Spring IDE and Eclipse within UNIX and Windows environments.
Experienced with CI/CD tools — Jenkins, Maven, uDeploy, etc.
Team player, self-starter, collaborative, innovative, eager to learn every day. Agile/Scrum methodologyUnderstanding & hands on knowledge of docker, cloud-computing / cloud services platforms (e.g. AWS or Azure)Able to clearly articulate Integration and API strategies to all partnersProficient in creating integration and API common frameworks.
Experienced in defining, maintaining, and supporting Java development environment and best practices, such as Maven, Sonar, and other Open Source tools.
Ability to assist in identification, isolation, resolution, and communication of problems within the production and nonproduction environment and perform troubleshooting.
Experienced in delivering integration and API capabilities such as Stratum, GraphQL, Microgateway, JWT, Key Management, External Identity Mapping, SwaggerHub, Datadog, Security & many more.
Experienced supporting migration of existing APIs to AKS – Azure KubernetesExperienced performing code reviews, unit testing, and integration testing using Open Source frameworks.
Mandate versioning and adoption policies.
