Senior Software Engineer – Retail Position Available In Providence, Rhode Island

Job Description:

We’re looking for both Intermediate and Senior Developers (FullStack, Back End and Front End) to join our Lightspeed Retail Teamin the US and Canada. With Lightspeed Retail, youll build softwaresolutions that provide merchants with all of the tools that theyneed to thrive in the market. You will have the opportunity to workon different areas of multiple products depending on your skill setand preference. You will own and be accountable for features andhigh-leverage coding projects. What you will be responsible for: o

Building:

Code, conduct code reviews, fix bugs (including tacklingcomplex debugging), participate in peer programming, incidentresponse, and reverse-engineering tasks. o

Planning/Architecture:

Estimate, collaborate with product teams, and define the MVP. o

Learning & Teaching:

Share knowledge through lunches, chapterreviews, research, meetups, and mentoring junior developers to helpthem grow. o

Enabling:

Contribute to shared libraries, andopen-source projects, define best practices, and documentdevelopment standards within your teams focus. What you’ll bebringing to the team: o Strong programming skills in either/orGolang, Java, PHP, C#, C++, Ruby, Python, and Elixir. o Experiencewith either React, Vue, Angular or other JavaScript Front-Endframework. o Solid Software Development experience with bothsuccesses and failures that shape better decision-making. oUnderstand concepts like authentication, web security, models anddatabases, and the way that frontends consume APIs. o Willingnessto mentor and train other Engineers in the team.
