The role of Principal Architect includes oversight of all facets of architectural work and acts as a representative of the department ensuring technical accuracy in project execution in all phases. This role has the responsibility to promote Fluor’s competitiveness within the global marketplace by delivering quality services of unmatched value and technical competence. Principal Architect is a leadership position on assigned projects and performs architectural assignments of any complexity. As a Principal Architect at Fluor, you’ll be part of a unique and creative group of forward-thinking architects and designers dedicated to efficient project execution. We’re highly technical and invest heavily into data-centric design and BIM, enabling us to work effectively with project teams across the country and around the world. As a member of our team, you can expect to: ▪ Act as a leader in applying Cost Competitive Execution techniques and develop the most cost-effective total project solution for architectural work ▪ Develop and review project Scope of Services, Scope of Facilities, and other project baseline documents for all phases of projects▪ Develop estimates and schedules, progress reports, and manpower forecasts▪ Establish, track, and monitor material key quantities; provide analysis and forecastsDevelop and review specifications, including design criteria▪ Accredited professional architectural degree based on country requirements and sixteen (16) years of work-related experience; professional architectural registration; some locations may have additional or different qualifications in order to comply with local requirements.▪ Ability to communicate effectively with audiences that include but are not limited to management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors, and visitors. ▪ Job related technical knowledge necessary to complete the job. ▪ Ability to learn and apply knowledge of applicable local, state/province, and federal/national statutes and guidelines.

Ability to attend to detail and work in a time-conscious and time-effective manner.▪ Advanced knowledge of discipline codes and standards, commercial availability and cost of materials, means and methods of construction.▪ Effort-hour estimating and staff forecasting.▪ Managing and leading a large project.▪ Project set-up, developing control-level schedules, progress reporting, and project close-out.▪ Practical field experience.▪ Professional architectural registration.▪ Intermediate computer and software skills to include the use of word processing, e-mail, spreadsheet and electronic presentation programs.▪Ability to use discipline specific software may be required.

Expertise using Revit both as a design tool and in the production of architectural deliverables. Revit responsibilities per project typically include architectural material takeoffs, smart families established to interface with project databases, and tracking status of deliverables within the Revit model.
