Job Overview:

The Security Architect at LPL Financial will play a pivotal role in ensuring that our systems meet or exceed all necessary requirements to secure and safeguard our clients’ day-to-day operations. This role is critical to maintaining the integrity and security of our information systems and will involve close collaboration with various teams across the organization. The Security Architect will partner closely with Information Security and network engineering, as well as Cloud and Platform engineering, and individual tech teams where needed. The primary responsibilities will include creating standards, patterns, and how-to guides, and working with other teams to automate these processes. This collaborative approach will ensure that security measures are seamlessly integrated into all aspects of our technology infrastructure. •This role is hybrid, requiring 3 days a week in one of our development hubs: Fort Mill SC (Charlotte NC area), San Diego CA, Austin TX, or New York City metro areas•

Responsibilities:

Partnering with relevant stakeholders, create and implement policies, standards, patterns, and how-to guides. Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to advance LPL’s Identity and Access Management (IAM) practice. Drive the advancement of a zero trust architecture in a hybrid-cloud environment. Evaluate and recommend solutions, weighing the trade-offs between Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS), Software as a Service (SaaS), and internally-developed solutions. What are we looking for? Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field. 10+ years of experience in Information Technology Security. 4+ years as an architect within a large, regulated industry, with a preference for the financial industry. Expertise in network security, zero-trust networking, vulnerability management, IAM, TLS, and encryption generally. Deep experience with firewalls, DDoS prevention tooling, and Cisco networking.

Core Competencies:

IAM architecture and integrations. RBAC Two-step verification systems/MFA IAM protocols such as SSO/SAML, OAuth/OIDC, and SCIM.

Preferences:

Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.

CISSP, CISM, CEH

LI-Hybrid Pay Range:

$151,388-$252,313/year Actual base salary varies based on factors, including but not limited to, relevant skill, prior experience, education, base salary of internal peers, demonstrated performance, and geographic location.
