Job Description
Are you an IT systems developer with experience in data integrations? Would you like to make a statewide impact? The Integration Endpoint Developer acts as the central developer for efforts to integrate various data points into the Azure Data Warehouse. This position is in the Information Technology Department in Columbia. The purpose of this position is creating data driven solutions that incorporate data loading efforts within Azure Synapse, creating data structures that are both serverless and traditional Azure SQL. The Integration Endpoint Developer will oversee the continued development of the Systems Integration API, ensuring the SI software development life cycle is followed. The selected individual will work on reporting and data visualization efforts for the agency. All work will be done ensuring that data integrity and security is implemented.
Key Responsibilities
The Integration Endpoint Developer will:
Establish and maintain data driven pipelines for data hydration of SC DEW Azure Data Lakes.
Utilize external and internal data sources for additional endpoint ingestion.
Use IRS Pub 1075 and abide by state/agency requirements to ensure data is secured.
Create a standards-based data repository for data ingestion.
Update and ensure accuracy of DEW Worksheets.
Oversee the development and maintenance of the Systems Integration API endpoints via C# code.
Generate reports via SSRS and Power BI (both Pro and Desktop), ensure access policies are adhered. Follow the Systems Intelligence Development Life Cycle. Use Terraforming for Azure objects when available.
Ensure data privacy and system security compliance for all operations are integrated into the IT department’s system integration.

Minimum and Additional Requirements
Education and Experience
A high school diploma and experience in computer system development and modification. A bachelor’s degree in a related area may substitute for the required work experience. Experience in SQL and Azure Synapse is required.
Additional Requirements
Position requires overnight travel and may require employee to work evenings and weekends. Requires on-call shifts and call back. Other duties as required.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with Microsoft Power BI.
