Nummer 12378 Rohde & Schwarz America (RSA), a global Test and Measurement company is looking for a highly motivated Product Application engineer. As a Product Application engineer, you will provide solutions to complex engineering problems and troubleshoot unexpected product/system behavior. You will also act as a consultant to engineers and help them find suitable products/systems for their application. This position will be part of a highly technical engineering team based in Columbia, MD.
Your tasks
Understand customer application requirements and map them to Rohde & Schwarz solutions.
Demonstrate product capability relevant to customer needs.
Identify and recommend white papers, application notes, or other applicable content to customers.
Refer opportunities to Sales per company processes.
Coordinate complex demonstrations with field applications engineers and other subject matter experts.
Provide basic hardware/software test engineering support to meet customer challenges.
Compose written instructions on technical topics, solutions, and applications stemming from common support incidents.
Document and report unexpected behavior (bug) to product management and product development.

Your qualifications
BSEE (or equivalent) with GPA > 3.0
Experience with test equipment such as oscilloscopes, vector network analyzers, signal generators, etc. Experience with Rohde & Schwarz equipment a plus.
A strong communicator who can understand highly complex technical topics
Customer-facing experience and good customer-service skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
An active listener with strong problem-solving skills
Ability to work within a team environment while also being able to effectively work independently
Able to travel 15% domestic and internationally
