Anticipated SalaryRange:

$137,510.00 – $180,000.00. The salary range for this role isintended as a good faith estimate based on the role’s location,expectations, and responsibilities. Job DescriptionEnlighten is seeking a highly motivated and experienced DevOpsEngineer to join our fast-paced development team. The idealcandidate will have strong working knowledge in Kubernetes andContainer Orchestration, Configuration Management, CI/CD,Automation, AWS, Linux systems administration, Scripting in Bashand Programming in Python, and a background in Big Data solutions.

The DevOps Engineer will be responsible for implementinginfrastructure, automating deployment processes, and ensuring themonitoring, reliability and scalability of our services. Work isperformed in a hybrid environment (on average 1-2 days a week) witha great team. LI-DS1 Mid-Senior LevelEssential Job Responsibilities Support development and deploymentof cloud infrastructure in AWS, especially EKS. Support developmentand deployment of non-cloud (Edge) infrastructure of on-premise andportable equipment. Automate deployment processes and ensurereliability and scalability of services. Manage and maintainKubernetes containers and cloud infrastructure on AWS. Collaboratewith development teams to integrate their applications into theinfrastructure. Monitor and troubleshoot production systems andresolve issues as necessary. Continuously improve processes andtools to ensure high availability and performance. Stay currentwith new technologies and industry trends, continuously exploringnew ways to improve our infrastructure. Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications Security Clearance – A current Secret U.S.Government Security clearance is required; U.S. citizenshiprequired. 9 years of experience in DevOps Engineering or SoftwareDevelopment and Bachelors in related field; or 7 years relevantexperience with Masters in related field; or High School Diploma orequivalent and 13 years relevant experience. Strong Knowledge ofAWS services (EKS, EC2, EBS, S3, Lambda) and their application todeployment and management of infrastructure. Proficient knowledgeof Linux, including system administration and troubleshooting.

Proficient in configuration management tools such as Terraform andAnsible. Experience with application, container, and OS deployment,scaling, and management. Ability to develop in multiple programminglanguages such as Python, Bash, or Go. Familiarity with Git, Flux,and other development and deployment tools. Excellentproblem-solving skills and the ability to identify and troubleshootcomplex issues. Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Understanding of AGILE software development methodologies and useof standard software development tool suites. Must have a DoD 8140/ 8570 compliance certification (i.e. Security certification). Mustbe able to work in a hybrid environment. On average 1-2 days perweek in Columbia, MD. Flexibility is essential to adapt to schedulechanges if needed. Preferred Requirements Experience with big datatechnologies like: Hadoop, Accumulo, Ceph, Spark, NiFi, Kafka,PostgreSQL, ElasticSearch, Hive, Drill, Impala, Trino, Presto, etc.
